Havmor is the 2nd largest real milk ice cream maker in India, with a range comprising 160 variants. The ask was simple: Make Havmor synonymous with real milk ice cream.
We came up with The Cool Gaiz, two cow buddies who would be our endorsers (Gai is a Hindi word for cow, and it sounds like guys). They had nothing but real milk ice cream on their minds and hooves. It was a conscious decision to establish the cows, a barn, and tons of Havmor being consumed, like an obsession and also a validation.
It turned out to be a moo in the right direction for this traditional ice cream brand, as it helped them reinvent their image. The animation, the cows, and the distinct audibles made the films memorable.
We created a series of three films that ran during the summer during the Indian Premier League (IPL), one of the biggest sporting spectacles on the planet with a viewership of 500ish million.
The films got featured and mentioned on many portals, but they also ended up winning APAC Creative Work of the Week on The Drum. *Badum Tss*
The base film introduces the cows, the setting of the barn and their obsession with Havmor. And well, they're cows man, they can't say mor, they say moo!
Havmor prides itself on making ice cream out of any ingredient, which is why they have the highest number of variants in the market. So, this film focuses on the very same idea. The ice cream-obsessed cows crack the simple equation of ingredient + milk = Delicious Havmor ice cream.
There's no such thing as enough chocolate. And Havmor has more than 30 variants of it! Moo the merrier.

Personally, I really loved working on this brand. I love creating characters to tell a story and nothing beats animated cows. I named them Chubb and Boop, no one else knew.
